  1. Your photos are wonderful. You’ve made me feel as if I’ve been to Budapest, too. Also, i love your comment about youth. How naive we were!

    • It is my wish to convey what I have seen and what my feelings were at the time. The young people gathering on the grass reminded me of my youth and it was for this very reason that the photo was taken. Thanks for liking the photos!

  2. Michael,
Your photographs are nothing short of magnificent. Thanks so much for visiting my memoir blog. I look forward to some fine “armchair traveling” thanks to your blog.

    • I am intrigued as to the origin of the Hungarian people, in so many ways they are different from the rest of the other Europeans. I also like the statute of Anonymus. Touching the pen he is holding supposedly will bring good luck! Thanks for following my blog!

  3. Looks like we were in Budapest during the same time :) I just walked around aimlessly not knowing where I’m going or what I’m seeing. I’m enjoying your blog. Very interesting. And let me say it again, awesome photographs.

    • Hi, our trip was also unstructured. We wanted to have a night cruise on the Danube with dinner, then we changed to crusie only, finally we went off to Szentendre and took the ferry back instead. It turned out to be the best part of the Budapest trip. Thanks for reading my blog! Regards, Michael

  4. First I read the opening paragraph and I got so curious of the magnificent 7. I’m glad it picked up to the third paragraph. Thanks for the detailed info and pictures. Looks and sounds interesting.

    • Thanks for taking the time to peruse so many of my posts. I sometimes find it difficult to insert photos at the right paragraph. Hope that is not that confusing. Budapest is surely an intersting place to visit. Regards, Michael
