The End of the World

The world is not going to end on 21 December 2012 which is the last day in the Mayan’s calendar.

However, 2012 may prove to be a year full of turbulence. Perhaps, another year of turmoil has just surfaced on the horizon.

We don’t need fortune tellers to tell us a hard year may be coming. The Eurozone debt saga is not going away yet, climate changes and seismic activities may inflict damges all over the place, a new Chief Exceutive (Pig or Wolf?) for Hong Kong will affect us, possible changes in leaderships in Taiwan, Russia, US, Europe, north Africa or even China and other unexpected Black Swans . . . . .

Whatever happens to the outside world, Inner peace is all the more important.

I was pondering over the advice I read on attaining Inner Peace:

1. Don’t let money bother you; save up to satisfy your needs not wants and lead a simple life.

2. Develop good relationships with people and the environment.

3. Improve the quality of your soul; leave sufficent time to think, exercise and rest,  improve your awareness and show gratitude.

The beach seems to be the perfect place for enhancing no. 3; why not just head down to the beach?
