Hi Viveka, this is one of my best shots in Scotland, a land which touches my heart! Michael
When I lived Belfast – my irresponsibility was even on the Scottish side and I just love the people and the country. So beautiful. The Highlands .. WOW!
It is a land that I miss. I don’t know when I will be able to visit it again!
Have you been to Ireland – an other wonderful place, very likeness Scotland – also full of wonderful people. With Ireland I use to say it’s the only place where you want to return to before you left.
I have never beenn there, but I like Dingle and areas with the cliffs!
Whole of Ireland is awesome .. I think you should try to go and then do Scotland again.
Would like to be there one day!
And forgotten … the bag pipes … the whiskey I leave to the unprofessional – but the short cakes .. I keep. Plus I love Haggis and very weak for men in kilt – they are so handsome.
Your heart is really in the highlands!
My heart is full of Scotland and Ireland. Was so blessed with be able to live there for so many years.
It’s all bluish – makes me feel serene 🙂 Great photo!
Hi, I have almost forgotten the name of the castle. I was there in 1985 and took this picture as a slide. It was converted to digital some years ago. I still keep this picture as the sky and the castle were just unforgettable. I have almost got the name of the castle wrong, a reader has corrected me in the comment below. Glad that you like the photo and thank you for the kind comment! Michael
Hi ivonprefontaine, thanks so much for the nomination. I have decided not to pursue or accept any nomination / award during my retirement and for this reason, I have already turned down all similar awards. Knowing that my blog is read in many places of the world is already my biggest reward. With regret, I have to decline the nomination. Thank you once again for the nomination which is very much appreciated! Regards, Michael

This is Castle Stalker, not far from Oban on the west coast of Scotland
Hi Mark, thanks for the correction. Yes, it should be Castle Stalker, Regards, Michael
I knew I recognised this place – I was there only a month or so ago! (Feels like longer…) I like the blue tones.
