Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns (2)

Think I have missed one photo from my last entry which truly shows Lines and Patterns.

The photo was taken at the Cultural Center, Tsimshatsui of Hong Kong.CIMG3479

It is an isometric view of a narrow walkway at ground floor level, with a series of inclined supports on the left, walkway in the middle and a vertical wall on the right.

The elementsย together form a triangular pattern tapering to infinity.

It is a perspective which shows lines and patterns monotonically throughout the picture. The tiles on the inclined support show a repetitive rectangular pattern, the tiles on the floor show a random pattern andย the vertical wall on the right is also regularly tiled.

    • You have described it very well, there is a good contrast between the strong inclined lines and the softer random pattern of the ground. Regards, Michael

  1. Is it just me…this picture seem to be giving me a dizzy spell at first look…especially the top right part…perhaps it is some optical illusion effect?? LOL…

    Setting aside that…this is a great photo….

Btw, Happy October and may this month be a beautiful and inspiring one for you and your loved ones.

Take care, be well and cheers!! ๐Ÿ˜€
