Weekly Photo Challenge: Perspective (2)

One of the things we learned while studying our first year of engineering was to prepare elevations, plans as well as perspective view of objects.

I have always liked drawing out perspectives. It was fun!

Maybe I have carried this into my photos – I like taking images that gives a three dimensional perspective.

The following two images were taken in Split, Croatia.CIMG1406

Split has a lot of narrow alleys with arches straddling above.

Common to both images are the limestone tiles and walls.

I especially like the contrast in color in front and behind the arch in the first picture. It is like seeing light at the end of a tunnel.CIMG1404

I like the second image too, the contrast in color is not as great as the first one. It shows two people chatting at the very far end.

Hope you enjoy my second entry of perspectives!

  1. So beautiful. Would love to visit there. However, you have just given me an idea for a perspective photo of my own. Thanks.
