Sometime ago, I showed a series of clouds and mountains at Huangshan, China; that has attracted a big response. many readers thought they were perfect!
We have been to Zhangzhaijie, China before. It was the mountains there which inspired Avatar.
However, we have never been able to capture sunrise and the sea of clouds with the limestone columns.
All we saw was misty, and to say the truth, a bit gloomy view of the mountains.
Here is a photo provided by my university classmate Mr. YM Chan. This shows the clouds and Zhangzhejia in all its glory!
It is surreal too. Please enjoy!
No words could do it justice. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, wordless!
A beautiful achievement. Timing is everything!
As you know Tina, no matter how many times you are up in Zhanzhejia, you cannot expect to see the sun. My pal has been fortunate in seeing the clouds / sun on a beautiful day; I am glad to share it!
It’s gorgeous! Have been wanting to go there myself. What’s a good time of the year to visit, in your opinion?
My classmate who took this picture went there last month. Stay there on the mountains for a couple of days and made a pre-sunrise hike to that location. I am not sure what is a best time, every time I was there, it didn’t has the sun, only hazy!
Google – Three Sisters , Katoomba. You will be amazed at the likeness
Yes, I am amazed at the likeness – wasn’t aware of the three sisters!
