Prayers For Mom

I rarely talked about my family in my blog.

But on 11th Thursday my mom will be operated to have her malignant tumor in her colon removed.

To have a surgery at her old age is not very common and the complications it may attract are just worrying.

Here, I hope my mom’s operation will be a successful one and that the good Lord will have mercy on her guiding her to recovery.1549548_840359995981142_1744007377_n

I hope she is just like the green bamboo in this photo, evergreen and have a lot of ย will to survive.

She has sacrificed and so much for us when we were young. May the good Lord bless her and listen to our prayers.

  1. Wishing your mom a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. I went through surgery on my colon when I was 24 and it was no fun then. But it made my life much, much better. I hope the second part of this for your mom — the techniques have improved significantly in the 30+ years since I had it!

    • The worrying part is that she is 88 and a bit frail. We are worried of the complications, not that much about the operation itself which as you said the techniques have improved considerably! Many thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I am praying for Wong Lai Wah, Doroth, to have a safe and successful operation and removal of the whole tumor and any and all remainders of it. I am also praying for her speedy recovery to excellent health. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  10. I’m glad to hear that your mother made it through the surgery. Abdominal surgery is so complicated. I will be sending prayers that the blood excretion is a normal part of the healing process and that she has a speedy recovery.

  11. Michael, I am so sorry to hear about your mother, but grateful that she made it through the surgery. I pray that the weeks and months ahead will be full of healing and strength for her. As you might remember, this is the same kind of cancer that Jeff has been fighting for over two years now. I am thankful that your mother’s tumor was discovered and removed.

    • Given her age, she is recovering slowly but I am sure that she is getting there. Many thanks for the kind thoughts.
Best wishes and good health to you in 2015!

    • Hi, my mom is recovering at home – she is 87.5 years old and will take a bit longer to recuperate. I intend to write a post about my mom and colon cancer which I will publish later. You are welcome:-)

    • Many thanks for the prayers. At this moment all we hope is that her pain of the surgery cuts will decrease and that the cancer will not recur. Regards, Michael
