Thank You Everyone!

I am filled with gratitude to the responses I have received to my previous post – Prayers for Mom.

At the time of writing, almost 60 responses were received.

All of them offered prayers, good wishes, blessings, healing thoughts and even positive reiki energy to mom. I know I am unable to thank each of you enough.

I am deeply moved and  would like to thank you all on behalf of mom who will be having an operation today. I know I have very kind blogging friends around me and the blogosphere is full of love.

I was much saddened when I understand my mom has cancer in her colon and that because of old age and immobility, she has decided not to undertake any treatment.DSC_0385

But it seems the good Lord has kindly showed us the way and I hope that He will increase His mercy on us and the whole world.

Eternal God, please be with my mom today as she goes through the surgery. I know we deserve nothing.

I hope , whatever happens to mom in the surgery, this is a rebirth for her.

I sincerely hope it is a day when the sun will rise with all its glory and warmth.

For this, I am showing a sunrise photo taken in Langkawi, Malaysia.

  1. No matter the circumstances, He will never forsake nor leave you. God is in control and will continue to be with your mom, you and your family. Blessings!

  2. The Lord is indeed with your mother – and with her doctors. He has promised to always be with us – so He is. May your mom feel His loving presence all around her and may you also. May you and your mom rest with confidence in His embrace.

  3. I wish your mom to have many many years of life, with quality and great moments of so much love to give to her.
Please inform us how the operation goes.
    Stay strong and patient.

  4. I’m so sorry about your mom, Michael. My dad and his mother had that as well, and didn’t treat it in time. It’s unpleasant, but you need to take preventive measures for yourself as well. God bless you and your family.

    • Mom’s condition fluctuates, just read something which says full recovery takes 3 months. I can believe that especially my mom is 87.5 years old. Thanks for your kind words!

  5. I just caught up with your blog. Had I read your post before I’d have sent some positive thoughts for the operation too. I hope the surgery went well and that she is recovering ok, now.

  6. I hope your mom is recovering and doing better now, Michael. I too have had a daughter’s illness weighing on me and I have only sporadically looked at other posts. My prayers are with you.

    • Sorry to hear about your daughter’s illness. I am sure the Lord will look after her. My mom has just been discharged from the hospital today, after staying there for 11 days; I will provide an update later!

    • Hi Marianne, that’s OK. My mom is recovering slowly – that’s understandable as she has done a major operation at the age of 87.5. I never knew your name until now, thanks for the kind thoughts!
