Images from Angkor Wat (2)

<This post contains two photos>

I have never posted these two photos because I am not satisfied with their quality and composition.

Nevertheless, I think they are quite interesting.DSC_0190

The photos show the stone elephants in Angkor Wat.

It appears that they are trying to clean up the stone work, so part of it looks dark while the others is light color.DSC_0193

The other thing I am not too happy about the images is that the stone blocks when put together (re-assemble together after they were ruined?) have some discontinuity.

Hope you still like the photos!

  1. It is interesting to see these images with their ‘imperfections’ πŸ™‚ It does look like some of the stonework has been cleaned and some not. I am trying to imagine people rebuilding this part of the Wat … sorting out the stone blocks like giant jigsaw pieces!

  2. Great pics Michael. perhaps they could have employed people who liked doing jigsaw puzzles to put them back together.
