From perusal of a recent picture of this part of the temple of Angkor Wat, it appears that the area is now cordoned off.
Not sure whether this is a temporary measure or a permanent one – to keep tourists from having a close look at the more popular area so as to avoid it being mistreated or damaged.
I will be disappointed if the area is permanently cordoned off and made it accessible.
Luckily, I have taken quite a number of photos which I am happy to share here!
