Weekly Photo Challenge: Wall (Egypt)

< 4 Photos>

Here are some walls in Egypt which I will always remember.

The original photos were taken with a SLR non digital camera as slides in year 2000.My beautiful picture

The slide images are converted to digital images. My beautiful picture

I must admit that I do not know a lot of background about the history / story behind the walls.

While many of the walls are of brown or ‘earth” colors, some of the interior walls do have stunning colors. My beautiful picture

Please enjoy šŸ™‚

  1. Looks like Karnac to me, Michael. What an amazing country with an extraodinary past. I do hope they find a peaceful solution to all their woes.

  2. Fascinating photos, Michael. Interesting that the internal walls have retained their colours – I guess weather and sand would have removed external decorations apart from the original carvings. It is heartbreaking to hear of so many ancient cultural sites being destroyed in the conflicts in the Middle East recently.
