This week’s DP photo challenge is Symbol.
A symbol is an object that represents, stands for or suggests an idea, visual image, belief, action or material entity. Symbols take the form of words, sounds, gestures or visual images and are used to convey ideas and beliefs.
This week, I will be showing some symbols.
I hope they are self explanatory. For those that I don’t explain – the reason is clear – I don’t know the meaning behind them either!
These pictures were taken by my wife while travelling in the South Western part of the USA.
Are they symbols of the natives?
When were these symbols carved?
What do they represent?
I wish I would know – I am sure that some readers will be able to enlighten me in these respects.
