This week’s DP photo challenge is Symbol.
A symbol is an object that represents, stands for or suggests an idea, visual image, belief, action or material entity. Symbols take the form of words, sounds, gestures or visual images and are used to convey ideas and beliefs.
This week, I will be showing some symbols.
I hope they are self explanatory. For those that I don’t explain – the reason is clear – I don’t know the meaning behind them either!
This image was taken in Longfu Shan, China and represents Ying and Yang.
On the right, the characters says: in the middle of Longfu (dragon and tiger) Mountain, you look for the Master of the Way or Taosim.
There is a string of characters on the left which I was not able to capture. I was not able to zoom out anymore as I was restricted by the space available.
