Luohan / Arhat at Temple of 10,000 Buddhas

This is a continuation of yesterday’s series on the Temple of Ten Thousand Buddhas.

My yesterday’s picture shows dozens of Luohans or Arhats on either side of some steep steps that one has to climb to the temple.CIMG7275

Every Luohan has a particular face / posture.

Like my brother, he was never tired of photographing them in details.

Here is one of those . . . . . . just to wet your appetite.

  1. Intriguing. The Buddha is always pictured so composed. Those followers are “allowed” to wxpress themselves in a way the Buddha can’t?
