It was a cold morning at West Lake, China.
The lotus have all weathered, leaving their stalks.
What attracted me most was the pavilion which seemed to have sprung over the tranquil lake water.
I like the silhouette of the whole thing which appeared before my weary eyes.
Is this from an Oriental fairy tale?
If not, it sure could be from an Oriental fairy tale. Very beautiful! The water seems very high, is it? Or is it always like that?
The water was high for that time of the year.
Oh, Michael, that is so lovely.

Thank you, Leslie!
The spent stalks are cool and the pavillion does have a dreamy, majical story brewing about it. I can see how this scene would replace your tension and weariness with a breath of fresh air and repose. How is your mother?
Holding up. I will accompany her to a CT Scan in 10 days time and see whether the chemo has been effective or not. Thank you as always for your prayers!
You’re welcome Michael! God bless!
Thank you!
Very cool Michael. Is this West Lake Hangzhou? My Humans have been there but your photo has captured a terrific picture and feeling of such a lovely place.
