I always wonder whether you can gather what an animal is thinking just by looking into their eyes.
The human being is a complicated animal, but still people think that you can sense some inner thoughts just by looking straight into their eyes.
Can we do the same with animals?
The pictures here were all taken in ChimeLong Safari Park in China.
What do you think this monkey is thinking?
He seems to be in an inquisitive mood.
What about this orangutan?
He seems to be looking straight at me.
As to the parrot, I don’t know at all what it was thinking.
So beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
It’s curious how non-human primate eyes get to us. How do of we share a view of the same world? I always feel somehow that we let them down, and that soulful look is one of disappointment. The eye of a parrot to has a querulous look about it. Michale, have you ever come across the work of Anna Breytenbach, an animal whisperer? Her communication with animals is a revelation.
I have never come across her work; would be very interesting!
Especially love the monkey (1st) photo. I know some would call an orangutan a monkey, but not I π
I almost forgot the English name of orangutan!
π
Given the intelligence of all three of these splendid animals, I fear they may have been thinking: “What a great camera he’s holding. I wonder if he’ll put up much of a fight if I lay my paws/talons on it and have a go at taking pictures?”
Haha, very good imagination π
Wonderful photos! I’m sure they’re all thinking, “What do you have to eat? Just feed me!” :^)
The monkey was bathing in a pond when I took the photo.
The orangutan was swing happily on the thing.
The parrots seemed to be happily talking to each other.
I was admiring them for having a good time!
Sounds like a great time to me!
I think so!
A nice, different selection of subjects. Thank you Michael
