The setting sun reminds me more than anything that the present moment is Now.
In a couple of minutes time, the sun will have sunk below the horizon.
In 15 minutes, the sky will have darkened and the day will be coming to a close.
The photo was taken in Langkawi, Malaysia. It reminded me so strongly that I shouldn’t be chasing sunset anymore and should be back at the hotel for dinner.
Watching a sunset (or sunrise) in the now is always a mesmerizing and wonderful experience.
I am usually too late for a sunrise but have viewed many sunsets which as you say are mesmerizing!
Our days, at their shortest. Slowly getting longer.
Yes, hoping to get pass Winter ASAP!
Never am I more aware of how time quickly rolls along than when watching that great orb dip into the horizon.
It is hard not to evoke a feeling of time when watching sunset.
Nice sunset… Please follow me back…
Just wish the sun never sets!
That is a real beaut! And it’s true, sunsets wait for no one… gotta catch ’em now! 🙂 ♥ ❤
Yes, before it is too late!
