I am always fascinated by the skyline of New York city.
My mind is switched off completely to NY when I look at the skyline.
Here is a one of my favorite photos of NY skyline, seeing NYC from afar.
Please enjoy!
“So this week, share an image where you see a particularly strong connection between what we see and what you felt as you pressed that shutter button on your camera or phone.”
The above is what the Challenger asks us to do this week for the Photo Challenge.
Have been to New York several times. Each time, I got a special feeling about the place.
There are many places I like, however, the ordinary streets cape in NY reminds me that I am actually there.
The mix of the old and the new gives you a sense of place.
A place that is so varied, so alive and so full of energy!
Our Spring is still cold ( by our standards).
As one who lives in the subtropics, Switzerland always seems cold to me except in the Summer months.
Here are a couple of photos taken some years ago.
It was Spring; there was quite a contrast between the bleak snow covered hillsĀ and the grassland down below.
It looks as if there are two seasons there in the picture; Winter on the hills and Spring in the valley below.
Maybe the snow there never melts, even in Summer.
I know Misty is not a season.
But there are times within a season when it is especially misty, due to the humidity and the temperatures.
We were wandering in the mountains of ZhangJiaJie, China when mist came upon us.
We were like in Avatar, with the mist surrounding and not knowing which direction to proceed.
It was all fun and a bit adventurous.
Hope to be in the midst of mist again in my next hike!
Most tourists head for the fortress side of Dubrovnik; we did the same too.
Many of my photos show the fortresses, the walls and the many terracotta roofs.
For a change, this picture was taken towards the sea, away from the fortresses, when the sun has set.
We were walking back to the hotel and my eyes were captured by the very peaceful feeling of the sea and the cliffs and the lone house by the seaside.
Altogether, a very soothing view!
Spring and Autumn are the seasons I like best.
I like Spring for the flowers and Autumn for the foliage.
Summer is the month I feel most mobile and energetic.
Winter is the season for my hibernation!
Here are a couple of photos taken in Morges, Switzerland during Spring.
How delightful it is to walk around the garden by the lake.
Flowers and green leaves everywhere, one complementing the other.
This week’s DP photo challenge is Seasons.
Yellow is my favorite color for ushering in Spring.
It signifies hope and live.
The top photo was taken when we were on our way in Luoping, Yunnan in China.
The second photo, which I reckon is more beautiful, was taken in XiangShan, Beijing in China.
The yellow chrysanthemum were more randomly arranged, they were dancing to welcome Spring!
Lastly, but not the least, the photo of Canola or Rapeseed flowers were taken in Luoping, China in early Spring.
