This week’s DP photo challenge is Life Imitates Art.
I am still not sure whether Life Imitates Art or Art Imitates Life.
Or maybe Imitate is not the word.
I think life influences art and art influences life.
Art is created by artists who are influenced by life and art of others, so this is quite nebulous.
This is a picture taken in Angkor Wat, Cambodia.
It shows Devatas which are so real – so was it the artist who created this image after seeing people in real life or was he/she influenced by art. I don’t really know.
Really lovely photo of an amazing site.
Thank you, Rusha!
Awesome Pic. Have been there just last week..
Sure you enjoyed it.

I think the theme Life imitates Art, it might be right. As some artists create their works through life experience. As an art student, our lecturers always ask who are the artists influence our works or ideas. In a roundabout way I think both mean the same meaning and you might not agree with me.
Ha!!! Have a wonderful Thursday Michael.
Thanks for the sharing and your views!
A great shot Michael. You once told the difference between Devatas and Apsaras. Made me wonder: is there any similar thing (divine dancers) in Chinese mythology?
There are fairy dancers in Chinese mythology but I don’t think there is a distinction like that between Devatas and Asparas.
