Penguin Toys on Ice, Iceland

This is a rare sight of finding a couple of penguin toys on floating ice.

Only when one looks closer one would realize they are toys.

This is interesting and somewhat funny!

Northern Lights – On the Way to Greenland

One is not guaranteed to see northern lights in the northern regions.

They may appear for a short period or not at all.

These pictures taken by my wife on a cruise, on the way from Iceland to Greenland.

The sky looks green and unusual.

Hope there will be another encounter with the northern lights.

The photos in this series from Iceland consisted of only two colors – blue and white – if I can call white a color.

Otherwise, the photo is monochromatic.

Everywhere is ice and the view is tranquil!

Ice in Iceland

It is only to be expected to see ice in Iceland.

They look so fresh and shiny.

Many a tourist would try touching them or grabbing them to feel what it is like.

Sunset in Iceland

The Summer days in Iceland are long; maybe only two hours without daylight.

The sun finally set and this is a picture gazing towards the sea.

While the scene is not as orange or vivid as the ones we see in he tropics or sub-tropics, this connotes a certain note of tranquility.

Gullfoss Waterfall in Iceland

Those who read my blog know I have a couple of favorite subjects; namely, bridges and waterfalls.

You will find plenty of them if you search for these keywords.

I can assure you I like waterfalls better as it is a creation of nature.

Having said that, beautiful bridges are not easy to find as they have to be aesthetically pleasing, elegant and brand in well with the environment,

Going behind the Skogafoss Waterfall in Iceland

Many of us see waterfall from the front; that is how I often see them too.

I have the chance to go behind some of the waterfalls; getting myself somewhat wet in the process.

Here is a photo taken by my wife Linda currently on a trip there.

The avalanche of water keep coming down; that’s quite an experience.

Ice Tunnel in Iceland

Big monster vehicles brought tourists to the entrance of this ice tunnel inside a glacier in Iceland.

One can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
