This is a corner that I like to showcase.
Right in the middle of the waterway in Annecy, France, there is a building in the water.
The building was used as a prison to isolate the prisoners from the land.
To me, the corner of this building looks like a ship / vessel.
How amazing. Beautiful
One of my best photos . . . . . . .
Wow! That is so cool!
Never seen something similar . . . . . .
So beautiful and so uniquely France!
Yes, uniquely French!
This astonishing building really looks like a ship made of stone…
Just wonder what the architect has in mind when he designed this – to streamline the channel flows ?
I think, this has been the only possible way to construct the building. Otherwise it would have been torn apart by the water power within a few years.
Surely, u need some strong material to prevent any erosion, abrasion etc from the actions of the river.
Really unusual Michael, I must visit there! It’s east of us, probably 3 or 4 hours drive.
Oh, you should go, if it is that close!
This is a place I would like to see for myself 🙂
Yes, definitely . . . .
