Here, they have put a giant roof over it to prevent the figures from being attacked directly by the elements. I don’t like it either.
There is a vast unexcavated tomb of the Qin Emperor nearby which China hesitates to excavate – I visited the site this time.
There are several unexcavated sites in Mexico. ON purpose. They feel the site is better protected from the elements. And thieves…
The Qin Emperor grave is enormous, they wouldn’t want to touch it yet for the same reason.
