Am I mistaken, or hadn’t you lost your Egypt pictures?
I lost all my Egypt negatives but I still have some poorly printed and deteriorated 3R hard copies some of which I have scanned. The photos here are scanned copies, edited as far as possible to restore them.
They’re fine Michael. Do remember that the technicality of a photograph is nothing compared to the memory. 😉
It will long live in my memory. I wouldn’t be visiting Egypt anymore.
My father spent all his childhood in Egypt. But I’ve never had any intention to visit. (Though I like ancient Egypt)
I was turned off by the encounters I have in Egypt. The repeated accidents of the hot air balloons at Luxor is frightening too.
Friends of mine have had bad experiences too in Egypt. I had never heard of allons accidents. Fatalities I imagine?
Yes, fatalities at Luxor. Some HK people were killed in the balloon accidents.
Maybe two decades ago, malicious firing and killing of visitors at the Valley of Kings – just to disrupt the tourist industry and the government.
Well, terrorism is still rampant in Egypt. But ballon accidents? That is carelessness. Tsss.
This is careless, but the operator get away with very little punishment and the accidents were repeated.
The travelers were in a group and the tour operator said the balloon ride was optional and not covered by their insurance.
