    • The photo was taken more than 70 years ago and coloured.
She was dressed in chengsham with flowers as pattern. I just wonder how you put colors on these flowers.
This is the best photo taken of her. I am sure she is now in a better place.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and comment πŸ™‚

    • When my grandmother first worked it was at a photography studio where she actually coloured in the photographs. I saw some of her work it look just like your mother’s photo. I saw her brushes when I was in my 20s and they were whisper thin. It was quite an artform. The same may have been done to your mothers photo.

    • Hi Claudia, glad to hear from you.
She was lovely, full of wisdom, dutiful and thoughtful. She will remain forever in my heart.
All the best to you and yours too πŸ™‚

    • My dear, my post is not only for my mom but for all those who recently lost their parents.
      Please accept my condolences.
I am sure, like me, you will never forget your mother who always looks pretty in my hearts β™₯️

    • Dear Theadora, thank you very much for the kind words. I am happy to have discovered this and other photos just a couple of days ago when I clear her flat. πŸ™

    • But a light in your heart, in remembering. I have my darknesses, too, but the loss of my mother was the darkest. You just have to find the light in your heart, how lucky you were to have her in your life. XOXO

    • Very well said, Brenda.
She was my guiding light, a dear friend whom I can always go to whenever I have a problem.
I need to find a light in my heart.
After 6 months, I still dream of her, hugging her in my dreams, but become too emotional so much so that I woke up.
I am sure that she will forever be my light, a light in my heart.
Thanks very much Brenda for your kind words and thoughts.

    • I know time heals and God will give me the strength to move forward – I am sure this is what my mom wants to see as well.
Thanks for your kind thoughts and encouragement!

    • She has that signature smile even in her last few years – this, I will always remember.
Sorry for the loss of your mother, may her soul rest in peace too.

  1. Sorry for your lost Michael. Our moms impact our lives in ways we cannot even imagine. The love of beauty, compassion, faithfulness and loyalty, mercy, joy and spiritual hunger. Those are all God given virtues born of the image of God I have seen in your photos and the observations you have made. You are kind, good, sensitive and compassionate. God bless your coming and going and may you grow ever passionate in your search for a clearer look into the face of Jesus.

    • Dear Jan, you prayed for my mom when she was first diagnosed with colon cancer and went for an operation, I am very grateful for this.
I have moved closer towards God since that time onward – more than three years ago.
I hope I am as good as you say. I know I am a sensitive guy and compassionate about other people’s suffering but for many of these, I can only pray and hope that the Lord has mercy.
I understand that you are a very spiritual person.
Do you mind praying for my mom one more time, hoping that her soul will rest in peace and she is now with God.
      Many thanks πŸ™‚

    • Dear Michael, if your mom believed in her heart that Jesus was the path God chose to redeem mankind, and she looked to His shed blood to cover her sins and said so than that is the guarantee of her being in heaven. “Neither is there salvation in any other for there is no other Name under Heaven given among man whereby we might be saved.” Acts 4:12. “As many as receive Him to the He ga

  2. As many as received Him to them He gave the right to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” John 1:12.

When Jesus was dying on the cross the last word He said was “It is finished” that was because His death on our behalf completed all the righteous demands of God’s Law. He took the curse upon Himself. “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law being made a curse for us. For it is written cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree” Galatians 2:14

There is no pergatory. There is no prayers or indulgence that can add to or ensure our salvation else Christ’s sacrifice was not enough and He died in vain. But it pleased the Father to bruise the Son and execute this fantastic daring plan to save us because God loved us with an everlasting love before we were even born! Jesus endured the cross BECAUSE OF THE JOY SET BEFORE HIM. What was that joy? To go to heaven? No. Michael, the joy is you and your mom! To ensure that you and she will never have to face the second death but will live forever in Heaven with Him!!! Michael, have you asked Jesus to be your Savior? You can right now and be certain of your salvation. Just pray:. Jesus, I believe you are God’s Son sent to die in my place. I receive your gift of life. I believe you conquered death and have returned to Heaven so I might receive the gift of Your Holy Spirit. I believe I am now given God’s DNA through Your blood and the indwelling Holy Spirit and I have been born again! And as a child of our Father God I can come boldly before the Throne of Grace with my prayers calling my God Abba! Father! Daddy!”

If you have prayed that prayer Michael than there is a party celebrating your birthday with the angels in Heaven!
