I can’t say Pompei is beautiful; it is full of tourists too. But am glad that you like the photo!
I found the Fluted, tall Columns and the Statue quite beautiful! 🙂
From the picture, you can imagine how grand it was before the destruction.
Indeed.
🙂
Thanks for sharing. The photo reminds the viewer of the urgency the residents of Pompei were inn, when they tried to escape the impending danger, but how sadly they lost everything including their lives due to the speed and destruction that a natural event could happen.
This event should be a taken as an example and reminder that nature can be disastrous, specially in the context of the present global warming and rate of distraction that we hear and see on a daily basis.
This is Beautiful, my Dear Michael! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

People are escaping from inconvenient truths!
I have always been fascinated with Pompei. Were you able to see a lot there, or was it just a quick trip through?
We spent half a day there and saw most of it; so not too bad 🙂
Pompei must be daunting… So much death.
Indeed. Such a big destruction . . . . .
