There will be air travel just over and around HK starting November.
Well. Tread safely. You won’t get me in a plane until there is a treatment. (And you know I love travelling) Cheers.
We will be very cautious.
The December cruise to the Western Coast of India is cancelled.
We won’t be interested in those flights over HK.
As you said, probably we won’t travel until we are vaccinated.
We may consider a staycation.
Regards,
Michael
Staycation sounds good. My regards and best wishes to your wife.
Do you celebrate mid-Autumn festival in HK?
We did yesterday ( co-incidentally, it was my dad’s 100 year old birthday if he were still with us.). There were, as usual, lanterns and moon cakes. . . . . and of course the big round moon 🙂
So he was from 1920, 2 years younger than my dad… A 100 years? Impressive isn’t it?
Impressive; but I was with him for only 33 years .
Sorry about that. So he died fairly young. A shame.
He caught TB during WWII and health deteriorated since then.
That’s right I remember you told me about TB. My grandmother lost two sisters and a cousin to TB. It was a very bad disease then. Still kills millions in Africa – and India I believe.
There are still some cases of TB here locally, every now and then. It was an ïncurable “disease” here at the time.
There are now TB forms “multiresistant” to antibiotics. Often associated with AIDS. Daughter #1 worked on that in Africa for several months. Terrible. Very difficult to save the patients’ lives.
I suppose the strain mutates and become more untreatable. Hope Covid is not becoming that way too 🙂
We’ll know when we know. 🤞
Whilst human knows a lot, there is still an awful lot we don’t know . . . . .
There were planes then… Sigh.
