Michael your series on these lovely birds has been excellent and informative. Thank you for sharing them with us. I know from my own past experience his rewarding and exciting it can be to watch the full cycle from egg to fledging fully. And how we can celebrate fledging on the chick’s behalf and yet feel a poignant sense of missing them when they have left the nest. At least that is how I’ve felt after the Great Blue Herons fledge. Thanks for introducing me to this beautiful bird family. Best, Babsje
I felt a sense of loss too when they flew away.
Their parents did appear the next morning as if they were here to say goodbye.
These birds are quite small but photogenic 🙂
It is moving that the parent birds returned to say goodbye. Lovely ending to a beautiful photo story. And maybe the parents or chicks will return next season and set up their nest house in the same place!
This is their second nest this year.
Maybe, there is still time for a further one, before Summer is over!
How exciting! Keep us posted please.
Sure, will do 🙂
Congratulations on a successful fledgling of the three.
They look great! Thanks for the great documentation, Michael. You are a wonderful bulbul dad!
Sorry to miss the moment when they took off!
You did great!
Thank you 🙂

Although I have not seen them leaving the nest, I am sure there made it back to the forest!
They are getting so big. Sweet.
I photograph them at very close distances 🙂
This has been a great series!!
Thank you, Nora 🙏
So beautiful
🙂
It is amazing how quickly their life goes from egg to flying! Did all 3 of them survivie? Thanks for the great story!
Yes, all three survived this time 🙂
