Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony ( Hokkaido )

You can always find harmony in nature.

I am not sure whether there is a formula for it.011A

For my picture taken in Hokkaido, the formula appears to be:

Harmony = Trees with Autumn foliage + Waterfall + Stream + Mountains

Maybe, this is too simplified and deterministic.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony ( Koh Samui)

The sun has set; the day was coming to a close.

We were still loitering on the beach of Koh Samui, Thailand.DSC_0578A

The tide has gone out, exposing all the rock and coarse sand.

There was a blue tint everywhere; this was the source of harmony.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony (Vineyard)

The vineyard overlooking the Lake of Geneve, Switzerland, a very harmonious environment, is an UNESCO site.

Below is a paragraph lifted from the UNESCO.org site describing the place:IMG_1008

The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces, stretching for about 30 km along the south-facing northern shores of Lake Geneva from the Chateau de Chillon to the eastern outskirts of Lausanne in the Vaud region, cover the lower slopes of the mountainside between the villages and the lake. Although there is some evidence that vines were grown in the area in Roman times, the present vine terraces can be traced back to the 11th century, when Benedictine and Cistercian monasteries controlled the area. It is an outstanding example of a centuries-long interaction between people and their environment, developed to optimize local resources so as to produce a highly valued wine that has always been important to the economy.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony ( Waterfall )

Waterfalls are one of my favorite subjects.

While I am impressed by those mighty falls which look so powerful with their roaring sound; I am all the more at peace with those small ones too.058A

Here is a picture of a waterfall taken at JiuZhaiGou. It looks so silky and serene and integrates so well with the green environment.

Please enjoy!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony ( Bridge )

I like bridges, especially if they sit harmoniously with the surrounding.

This is a bridge we saw while taking a boat back from Szentendre to Budapest.DSCF0234

The bridge is aesthetically pleasing.

I like the color scheme, the form of the bridge, especially when viewed with a blue sky and the water.
