Weekly Photo Challenge: Today was a Good Day ( Hvar Island)

Never will I forget the good days I have on Hvar Island, Croatia.

It was always sunny. You always see the blue sky and wherever you look, there is the enchanting deep blue Adriatic sea.

On a good day, we hiked up to the Spanish Fortress. There were a lot to see and photograph even before we reached the fortress.DSCF0562

Overlooking from the fortress, there was a panoramic view in front of us.

Gazing downward, the city center on Hvar was just like a toy city. Further out, there was a string of green islands.

It was one of the best views I ever had!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Under Your Feet ( Limestone Pavement)

This week’s DP challenge is Under Your Feet.

We had a good time on Hvar Island, Croatia.

Everyday, we walked upon limestone pavement on the seaside promenade.DSCF0496

It is interesting that the pavements are all paved in limestone blocks ( some said it was marble).

Here is a photo showing how the pavement looks, with a little cute puppy resting on it. To add to the otherwise plain background, I have got some pretty flowers.DSCF0503

The one below shows a bigger dog, walking slowly under the sun, by the sea.

The sun was fierce and he was sweating and panting. The picture, however, is a bit monotonic.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Half and Half ( Sea at Croatia)

One of the most memorable things in Croatia must be the sea at Croatia.

The deep blue Adriatic sea captured my heart when we were there.

The sea was so charming that I spent hours and hours by the sea, watching ships and smaller vessels mainly.DSCF0456

There was good sunshine in the coastal areas of Croatia and the sea was just a reflection of the clear and blue sky.

The first picture was taken in Split. Gazing out from the shore, I saw this cruise liner which seemed to be the only thing which separates the sea from the sky.DSCF0600A

We spent a few days on the island of Hvar ( on the second picture) where I felt completely relaxed.

The sea was just everywhere and I like watching yachts and sea gulls flying past.

I think I could stay on the island forever!
