WPC: Reflecting – Islands Reflecting in the Calm Sea of Langakwi during Sunset
Yachts at Langkawi, Malaysia (1)
The Langkawi Picture
I am at a lost to know which picture I should upload to best show Langkawi, Malaysia.
The beaches in Langkawi are superb – white fine sandy beaches, pristine blue waters – what else can you ask for ?
The sunset at Langkawi is also breathtaking.
I don’t know how to pick between these two photos.
They are dreamy pictures.
So, as a special circumstance, I am picking both of these pictures.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Trio (Palm)
This week’s photo challenge is Trio.
Not a cloud was in sight.
No one really wanted to be under the sun; it was like 40 degrees Celsius, even this beach at Langkawi was deserted.
I was hesitating whether I should walk all the way to the beach and take this photo.
However, the sky, the water and the palm trees were so captivating.
The palms, especially, were like three ladies dancing on the beach, swaying in the wind.
This picture was therefore taken with a lot of sweat ( luckily no tears!)
Weekly Photo Challenge: Walls ( Okinawa, Langkawi, Chongqing)
< 3 Photos>
I am trying to put three unrelated photos together, this is an assortment of walls.
The first one was taken in a private property in Okinawa, Japan. I must admit my initial focus was on the red flowers. My attention was subsequently captured by the stone walls which when put together with the plants and flowers seem to make a good picture.
The second photo was taken in a holiday resort in Langkawi, Malaysia. I was impressed by the architecture of the resort building. The slightly sloping stone walls add a lot to the elegance of the building.
The last one was taken in Chongqing, China. The wall was entirely covered by a mural depicting some history in the past. Apart from a door opening on the right hand bottom corner, it is somewhat difficult to understand it is a building.
Please enjoy 🙂
Weekly Photo Challenge: Orange (Sunset)
Weekly Photo Challenge: Warmth (under the Sun)
How blissful it is to wake up and have breakfast under the morning sun!
As usual, we didn’t wake up early to have our breakfast when we visited the Island of Langakwi.
Having breakfast among the nature and listening to the soft murmurs of the sea must be one of the biggest joy in life!
It was another day in paradise 🙂
Thank You Everyone!
I am filled with gratitude to the responses I have received to my previous post – Prayers for Mom.
At the time of writing, almost 60 responses were received.
All of them offered prayers, good wishes, blessings, healing thoughts and even positive reiki energy to mom. I know I am unable to thank each of you enough.
I am deeply moved and would like to thank you all on behalf of mom who will be having an operation today. I know I have very kind blogging friends around me and the blogosphere is full of love.
I was much saddened when I understand my mom has cancer in her colon and that because of old age and immobility, she has decided not to undertake any treatment.
But it seems the good Lord has kindly showed us the way and I hope that He will increase His mercy on us and the whole world.
Eternal God, please be with my mom today as she goes through the surgery. I know we deserve nothing.
I hope , whatever happens to mom in the surgery, this is a rebirth for her.
I sincerely hope it is a day when the sun will rise with all its glory and warmth.
For this, I am showing a sunrise photo taken in Langkawi, Malaysia.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette ( Langakwi)
This image is one which I always remember.
We arrived at this restaurant which is attached to one of the hotels by the seaside in Langakwi.
The sun was setting, we decided to have dinner here – which turned out to be one of the most enjoyable dinners we ever had.
It wasn’t the food but the ambience / mood of the setting sun and the silhouette of the trees were just enticing.
The sun sent in its last golden rays of light, touching smoothly and softly on whatever they found on their way – the leaves on the tropical trees and the grass especially.
We sat there taking in the whole scenery, as the gentle breeze caressed our faces. Our ears were full of the murmuring sound of the sea waves as they approached the beach.
Just another day in paradise!
