Photography is about the capture of light.
This picture was taken locally when I had a first glimpse of light after walking through a wooded area towards a swamp.
I have processed it to remove most of the colors.
I have always enjoyed my morning walks in the woods.
The air was fresh and the sun has just come up.
We walked by the edge of the Liu Shui Heung reservoir in the New Territories of Hong Kong until we reached this pavilion.
The light momentously shone through the clouds and the trees.
What was revealed before us was glorious!
This week’s photo challenge is Shine.
I like photographing against the light; in particular I like photographing trees and leaves against in coming light.
If the camera is set as Automatic, this usually poses a problem as the light sensor will sense there is strong light and the aperture will automatically reduce, giving a picture which is too dark.
I intend to upload a series of photos which has been shot against the light.
Here is a photo taken up in the hills of South Korea in the Autumn. I have never published it as it contains too much yellow and gold colors. Ideally, I like pictures like this with a balance of green or other colors; on this one, it not only shines, it glitters.
Please enjoy!

Do you mind the sun shining hard on you when you are fishing?
The sun reflected from the sea as if it was a mirror of gold.
These anglers have got their caps on or holding their umbrellas. It won’t deter them from their fishing.
