This week’s photo challenge is Shine.
I like photographing against the light; in particular I like photographing trees and leaves against in coming light.
If the camera is set as Automatic, this usually poses a problem as the light sensor will sense there is strong light and the aperture will automatically reduce, giving a picture which is too dark.
I intend to upload a series of photos which has been shot against the light.
Here is a photo taken in a Chinese garden in Zhangjiajie; or was it a scene in the movie On Golden Pond? Haha!
This week’s DP Photo Challenge is Narrow.
We came across some narrow gaps while we hiked in the past.
These pictures were taken in Zhangjiajie in China, which is famous for their numerous limestone columns.
The topography was much eroded, leaving tall and narrow stones columns jutting up to the sky.
In many places, erosion has started, leaving narrow gaps between the land form too.
In other places, we have a narrow view of mountains between columns; making the place very interesting.

This week’s WPC challenge is Wall.
What I am showing here are not conventional architectural / building man made walls.
But natural walls – part of a cliff like wall in Zhangjiajie in China.
They are walls with unbelievable heights.
You can also see trees that cling to the face of the cliff too.
