A View Through the Gap

Climbing up the mountains of Zhangjiajie is a challenge.

When morning has broken, we were happy to have a blissful view through the gap between the canyons in Zhangjiajie, China.

We were at a lost as to how this slender tree can grow so near to the edge of the cliff and how on earth was the gap formed. Anyway, we had a peaceful feeling. . . . . . . . .  .DSC_0139

  1. That is so very beautiful. The ways of nature are mysterious and often leave us in wonderment. So it must be with the tall slender tree.

  2. Spectacular! I feel foolish for always forgetting what spectacular landscapes are in China (and how huge the country is) but this photo is a breathtaking reminder 🙂

  3. We visited Zhangjiajie a few years ago when we visited my husband’s family and it was stunnng, the landscape was so different than any place that I’ve been to. That was before I got my DSLR so I have see if I can find some photos from my point and shoot. Very lovely picture.

    • Hi, the picture was taken against light so it was like a B&W with trees/ hills silhouetted against the sky. I changed it to B&W and increased the color of the background. Have a great week 🙂

  4. Thank you for following my blog and liking my posts. I am fortunate to discover such a beautiful blog. The photo is awesome and nature looks at its best- so peaceful and calm. Thanks for sharing such a lovely post with us.

    • Hi Raunak, now you have said it, it really looks like an antenna to me. Haven’t heard from you for a while, hope all’s well! Have a great week 🙂

    • Hi Harold, I have converted to B&W, but it looks more or less the same. Love your images of Africa landscape / people/ culture. Have a great week 🙂

    • Hi, the picture was taken while we were hiking up. we were at the base of the mountains with gaps. Many thanks for your “likes” on many of my blog. Regards, Michael
