Blue, Blue, My World is Blue 2 ………..

Blue is my color.

Here is another photo which shows blue water.

This time, rather than lake water, we have blue sea water near the islands of Koh Samui, Thailand.

This conveys tranquility!

The sun has set; the day was coming to a close.

We were still loitering on the beach of Koh Samui, Thailand.

The tide has gone out, exposing all the rock and coarse sand.

There was a blue tint everywhere; this was the source of harmony.

Here are two photos which show limestone in layers are raised up above the sea levels.

They now appear as islands, with stratified rock layers.

These islands have been subject to the action of wind, waves and tidal currents too!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fresh (Flowers)

I like fresh flowers scenting the air.

The picture of the yellow flowers was taken early in the morning at Koh Samui when there were still dew drops on the petals.

Flowers just come popping up from the ground; they are love’s truest language, they are indeed the music of the ground.

This is a bouquet of small flowers in Koh Samui. They are so fresh that  you can see the tiny filaments reaching out from the flowers.

 In joy or sadness, flowers are our constant friends. Water lilies convey a special atmosphere of Zen; you feel fresh again on seeing the water lilies.

The water lily was also photographed on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand, early in the morning before of the start of a fresh new day.

I captured these butterflies while visiting Koh Samui, Thailand.

The image of the butterfly predominates the whole picture.

While the WPC challenge on Scale is usually taken as proportion, the image here also illustrates the scales on the butterfly.

 

Weekly Photo Challenge: Serenity ( at Koh Samui)

The theme for this week is Serenity.

We have always liked viewing sunset over the sea.

This sparkling view was what we saw when standing on a beach at Koh Samui, Thailand.

It gives a sense of serenity too.

We waited long enough to see the sun completely set. What appeared before our eyes was a completely different view which instilled a different mood.

Never tired of viewing the sea – it is just so serene!

Here is a splendid view.

While travelling on a speed boat, touring the pristine waters near Koh Samui in Thailand, the bow waves and the clouds seem to converge towards the islands.

This is convergence in the natural environment.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Minimalist (Koh Samui)

This is my second submission on the WPC Challenge of Minimalist.

This picture taken at a beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, shows nothing but the rocks lying on the beach only and nothing else other than the sky and the sea.

I like the blue tone of the whole thing, which is very subdued, highlighting the rocks.
