Have you gone out Banteay Srei? It is a bit further out, but well worth the visit.
Yes, we did that too.
River of 1000 Lingas?
No, hope to make it there one day.
I always tell people to go there base on my first trip, when it was off the tourist route. it’s a long hike up to the top of the river, where all the carvings are, and I do appreciate that they have developed the trail a lot, but the river itself is pretty much chained off and has limited access. I know this is necessary and is happening to all the old architectural sites, but it makes it much less charming.
I visited Angkor Wat in February 2015. I took lots of photos there too. Very impressive! As you have said, indeed it brings you back to the long past time period of this great Cambodia Kingdom.
It’s incredible and I can see why you’d want to revisit!
Yes, an incredible setting!
This is stunning as a monochrome image, Michael. What an incredible place to have visited. I hope I am lucky enough to see it for myself some time.
Wish you will have that opportunity soon!
I’ve been many times, and I always want to return. It is always a different experience.
Yes, I am looking for a different experience.

Thanks for sharing!
Like it when you convert to black and white
Glad that you like it!
Amazing what a little black and white can do!
This is the first time I try out with B&W on Angkor, it works out quite well!
It does indeed, Michael!
Thanks for visiting my Blog and Liking my post, Namaste!
You are welcome!

I just chose a less familiar photo; a photo which have the elements of the atmosphere in Angkor Wat.
