The Word this week from Ailsa is Still.
Still is no motion and more importantly, the image should not suggest any motion.
Here are a few images which were taken in the Winter at West Lake, China which are stills.
All four images have a common element – the placid lake with reflections.
The reflection reinforces that there is no motion – even wind or any motion like ripples or currents in the water.
Apart from the trees, bridge, house and water, there are also no signs of life which were moving.
These are also images of quietude and peace 🙂
BEAUTIFUL STILL PHOTOS!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

Looks like you nailed the challenge. These are gorgeous pictures!
Thank you for the kind words, have a great day 🙂
I am particularly drawn to the first image: the composition and purple coloring is very beautiful and has its own unique Stillness.
The blue comes from the hazy blue sky of the West Lake and also typical of Fuji images. Thank you 🙂
Wow, all of them looks so peaceful, I would like to stay there and look too. Thanks for sharing.
Irene

Beautiful photos.
Thank you 🙂
Perfect stillness, Michael.
Thank you Tish 🙂
Good choices! These pix really display quietness , stillness , but also gave me a sense of blue…sadness. The color theme is blue…is it because of the display on my iPad or it is really blue?
Many thanks friendlytm. The blue is natural – from the wintry blue sky with haze and the use of Fuji cameras. Regards, Michael
Pawsome pics! Pawkiss 🙂
Many thanks, angelswhisper2011!
Beautiful still water reflections, especially the first one. That bridge…….!

Hi,presumably active persons like yourself and your family would also like moments of stills. Regards, Michael
Thanks for sharing the ‘still’ photos, Michael. Reflection shots are some of my favourites so it’s super to see this array of reflections. Coral
Hi Carol, reflections are also my favorite subject. Thanks for liking my post 🙂
So placid Michael I would like to sit by West Lake and meditate.
One thing could may be cut short that idea it looks cool.
Although the colour I think helps the atmosphere an effect you wanted.
Kind regards Jack.
The absence of motion in a still environment will help the brain to stop thinking and meditate, this is an ideal place for it. Regards, Michael
Beautiful photos, Michael.
Thank you Wooly Muses 🙂
The reflection showcase the word STILL perfectly.
